Did you know local businesses can join the co-op? As an owner, a business can extend its owner benefits to employees, providing access to exclusive owner discounts. It’s also great for businesses; all employee purchases are factored into one spending total when the board declares a patronage refund. Keep us in mind for staff parties because your catering purchases also factor into your patronage total!
Need food in a flash? Order your favorite bowl or burrito before you even get to the Table! Plan ahead for a quick lunch between meetings or a healthy dinner on the way home. We’re excited to refresh our made-to-order menu at the Wedge Table. In April, keep an eye out for fresh seasonal flavors in new bowls and sandwiches featuring vegan and Whole 30 options.
The made-to-order menu at Linden Hills is also getting refreshed. Look for our new soba noodle veggie bowl and Thai rice bowl, customizable burritos and new sandwiches coming this April.
We’re excited to announce our annual plant sale will be returning to the Lyndale store south parking lot this spring. We’re proud to feature organic and locally grown flowers, vegetables, herbs and more.

Twin Cities Co-op Partners (TCCP)
The 2018 board meetings will be held the third Tuesday of each month through September.

The board is looking for engaged owners to serve on the TCCP board!
A qualified board candidate is a co-op member with a passion for our community, strong leadership skills and a collaborative approach. We seek board candidates who can engage in respectful debate and dialogue, bringing their unique perspectives and skills to the conversation.
The position requires an average commitment of 10–20 hours per month and offers a stipend of $9,128 per year.

Two legacy board members from each co-op will remain on the board for 2019. Three seats are open to TCCP owners in good standing.

Twin Cities Co-op Partners had solid financial results for the first six months of our fiscal year, which is July 1 to June 30. Sales were up compared to last year for all business locations. We are happy to share that our year-to-date net income was $150,000. TCCP continues to see operating benefits from the consolidation of Linden Hills and the Wedge as we share ideas across the organization and make improvements in products and processes. Our balance sheet and cash position are healthy and continue to strengthen. We are excited about the second half of the year and look forward to sharing those results with you.

A Black-Led Financial Cooperative
Village Trust Financial Cooperative is a federally chartered Black-led credit union opening in Minneapolis in 2019. VTFC is a project of the Association for Black Economic Power (ABEP) who acts as a firewall between the financial institution and Blexit, a community organization of concerned citizens formed in response to the 2016 police killing of Philando Castile.
The ABEP Team will be at the Wedge Table on Wednesday, March 28 from 6–7:30 p.m. talking about Black Cooperatives, the development of VTFC and how to get involved. In the meantime, visit abepmn.org to pledge your support.

This is a day for you, your family and friends to venture out to get acquainted with the people and land behind your food. This year we’ll have more than 20 urban and rural farms to choose from. Supporting the Return of Buffalo to Native Lands
Tanka Fund is a solution-oriented initiative of Indian Land Tenure Foundation, a national Native non- profit based in Little Canada, MN. They work in partnership with Native American Natural Foods, the creator of the Tanka Bar and Tanka brand of healthy buffalo snacks that can be found at the co-op.
Tanka Fund is committed to returning buffalo to Native lands, lives and economies. Their long-term goal is to
return one million acres of Native lands to buffalo, bringing back healthy prairie, healthy people and healthy local economies to reservation communities.
Tanka Fund provides grants and training to Native buffalo projects to overcome the obstacles they face growing sustainable, prosperous Native herds and educates the public about the bene ts of buffalo restoration.
Tanka Fund is the Change Matters recipient for April. Every cent will go directly to Native buffalo projects in the region — either to pay for a land lease, fencing (which can be exorbitant because buffalo can jump six feet), a well, a stipend for a caretaker, or other expenses critical to maintaining and expanding native buffalo herds.
